This is an Error of Mr. White. The Scotia did arrive in New York until July 27th, 1863. The cover probably traveled via the Allan Line steamer "Jura". which arrived in Quebec on July15 after dropoing mail off at the River de Loupe. That mail would have traveled to Boston by rail. It might have also traveled by the Cunard steamer Persia which arrived in New York on July 14th, 1863. The mail could have been forwarded by train to Boston.
